Job Description:

Skills and Qualifications Required:

· Specialized training and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in healthcare, higher education, or commercial buildings.

· Specialized training is required in one of the following trades: HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. Working knowledge of fire suppression systems and building control systems is a plus.

· Basic knowledge of the following related crafts: carpentry, fire alarm systems, emergency generation and structural systems.

· Must possess a Driver’s License in state of residence and be insurable by Kendal’s insurance.

· Basic knowledge of indoor pool operations is preferred. Position may require the procurement of a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.

· Must be able to work alongside other trade professionals - carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other contractors working in the building.

· Must be flexible to meet the needs of the community which requires 24/7 responsiveness.

Position Description:

· Maintains building environment by maintaining and repairing HVAC, kitchen equipment, pool mechanicals, fire suppression systems, energy management systems, appliance repair, and general electrical and plumbing systems.

· Complete preventive maintenance schedules as required, respond to resident requests regarding corrective work orders, and monitor systems for regulatory compliance.

· Must be an extremely well-organized and detail-oriented professional with a high emphasis on the ability to communicate and follow-up on tasks through completion.
