The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Using Power Industrial Vehicles (PIV) in compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements, to move materials to and from departments as needed as well as loading, moving, or processing hazardous waste

  • Demonstrating a passion for safety and good housekeeping by maintaining a safe and clean environment and following the safety standards while continually evaluating the environment for hazards and offering suggestions for improvement.

  • Utilizing your attention to detail by documenting quantity, type, weight, and damaged products to maintaining strict shipping/receiving accuracy, reviewing product labels, tags or tickets, shipping manifests, purchase orders and bills of labeling to ensure accuracy and ensure accurate counts during inventory review. 

  • Weighing/measuring materials, equipment, or products to maintain relevant records, using volume meters, scales, rules, or calipers.

  • Assisting Warehouse Operators with shipping and receiving functions as well as internal warehouse and tank farm functions and collecting and preparing product samples for our laboratory team to conduct testing/ analysis.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:


  • Candidates must be 18 years or older

  • Possess a high school diploma/ GED or higher from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Ability and willingness to work 12 hour rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays as well as working overtime as needed.

  • Must have a general GMP orientation; additional training required if assigned to GMP products. Regulatory training, which includes hazardous material training, is completed during employee orientation and annually thereafter. Must complete all PIV training required for material handlers as required.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Experience operating a forklift

  • Experience within a warehouse environment

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment

Travel: May include up to 0% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
