This growing non-profit health care system is looking for a strong manager to promote and sustain an integral department. Serving in a role that’s equal parts administrator, educator, and leader, the Regional Manager Infection Control will play a central role in the effective and efficient operations of this community medical system.

Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, Risk, and Accreditation, the Infection Program Regional Manager will develop, implement, and evaluate programs that address issues at the core of every acute care hospital environment; issues such as patient and staff safety, the collection and reporting of infection prevention and control data, ensuring that proper infection prevention processes are in place, and acting as one of the leads for TJC Survey proceedings and accreditations. 

Primary among the Infection Control Program Manager's duties will be developing and evaluating best practices to control both hospital-based and community-based infection. Drawing inspiration and data from a variety of sources across the continuum of care, the Director take oversight of the design, implementation, and constant evaluation of data relating to infectious and communicable diseases. This not only includes internal statistical data, but also published literature regarding TJC, Department of Public Health (DPH), OSHA, NHSN, and Community Epidemiology for Washington State. 

Another important part of the Manager's role will be serving as an educator and expert on methods for infection reduction, particularly as it pertains to inpatient acute care services, but more generally in terms of community epidemiology as well. The Infection Control Program Manager will develop and implement educational programs aimed at reducing infection rates among hospital staff and the community. Preference is being given to those who have obtained Certification in Infection Control (CIC), and those who have managed both inpatient and outpatient IP programs.
