Provides screening and educational services for health fairs and companies we serve.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides health screenings to participants at health fairs and companies we serve. Screenings may include, but are not limited to: finger stick, cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose, body fat, BMI, bone density, and/or fitness screening.
Provides one-on-one or group education. Teaches participants how to apply information gained.
Complies with all designated federal, state, local laws and organizational safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of applicable protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents.
Coordinates schedules and calendars.
Provides system navigation services to customers as needed.
Encourages participants to make healthy lifestyle changes.
Recommends changes or additions to programs.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized training from accredited school
EXPERIENCE
One year health care experience, certification as a Nursing Assistant, Health Screener, Certified Health Education Specialist, other related credentials
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant standing and walking.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Occasional lifting/moving patients.
Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
Occasional driving.
