Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a Cheese Market & Dairy Analysis Intern from May 2022 - August 2022

Job Responsibilities

• Learn about cheese and dairy markets and the factors that influence the market prices.
• Work on automation and process improvement projects involving Microsoft Excel, SAP, and Business Objects.
• Assist in price risk management transactions (hedging) for customers.
• Perform data aggregation and industry research on cheese and dairy plants in the US to combine into one summary report.
• Manage the CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) Futures report daily for five commodities and track changes to the market.
• Analyze data to provide meaningful insight for customers as well as internal cross-functional teams.
• All GLC interns are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience

• Current college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, or Business related field
• Year in School: Junior/Senior
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong communication, presentation, and team skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, able to work well independently.
