Based in Austin, TX, the Crisis and Issues Communications Sr. Manager reports to the Head of Corporate Integrated Marketing & Communications. Flex’s corporate marketing and communications team informs the world about the Company, our innovative manufacturing products and services, and the values that drive our company. With brand management and reputation also core to our function, the team includes professionals with backgrounds in public relations strategy, journalism, and marketing, among others. We are looking for a Crisis and Issues Communications Sr. Manager, who will be responsible for managing communications around a range of corporate and crisis situations, including issues preparedness and planning activities, developing and managing crisis playbooks, partnering with the global resiliency and crisis management team on running crisis simulations, and handling live crisis response for both internal and external audiences. This newly crafted position reports directly to the head of Marketing and Communications and is responsible for collaborating with a multifaceted set of subject matter authorities and partners to effectively address crisis as they arise, as well as define and implement a proactive issues management approach. This team member should have strong writing skills and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The nature of the work also requires an ability and eagerness to juggle multiple responsibilities, inside and outside traditional work hours. Candidates with expertise in digital/social media and demonstrated experience managing high-stakes crisis communications projects are encouraged to apply.
