Job Summary

Flex’s corporate marketing and communications team informs the world about the Company, our innovative manufacturing products and services, and the values that drive our company. With brand management and reputation also core to our function, the team includes professionals with backgrounds in public relations strategy, journalism, and marketing, among others. We are looking for a data-driven, innovative, collaborative professional to help us drive marketing and communications effectiveness, efficiency, and quantify business contribution by operationalizing and optimizing marketing strategy, planning, and measurement. The ideal candidate loves to dig into data, refine processes, and is adept at uncovering and synthesizing key insights into actionable recommendations.

This newly crafted position reports directly to the head of Marketing and Communications. You will provide data-driven input to team leaders that facilitate better decision-making and guides strategic action that lead to improved ways of working. This includes planning, budget management, people and program development, processes, and ensuring excellent communication throughout the global Marketing and Communications organization, and with internal and external partners.

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are key to effectively mobilize cross-functional partners and collaborate to accomplish a common goal and improve results. As an individual contributor, equally important is experience in people management through influence. We need a strong people leader that can drive execution of strategy, build consensus, and expertly navigate complex and constantly evolving environments.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:


  • Direct and drive strategy, planning and operational effectiveness to support the smooth running, performance, and growth of the global marketing and communications organization.

  • Develop a global operational strategy that simplifies working practices, increases efficiencies and improves the overall impact of the organization.

  • Partner with senior marketing and communications leaders to develop KPIs and success metrics to help achieve objectives and drive accountability.

  • Research and understand best practices across marketing and communications, and implement the most effective processes across planning, execution, measurement and reporting.

  • Using key performance indicators and analysis, provide clear guidance to aid decision making for better outcomes.

  • Devise, implement, and manage marketing and communications policies and standards.

  • Work across marketing, communications, and IT to identify marketing technology and systems that will scale across the company and provide visibility and improve productivity.

  • Alongside other organizational leaders, develop budget and vendor strategies to meet required goals.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


  • Develop, pilot, and implement scalable impact-level marketing measurements, analytics, and executive reporting on the organization’s contribution to the business, including dashboards

  • Research and implement productivity systems that will support integrated marketing and communications project management

  • Manage creative services traffic and support comarketing contracts

  • Orchestrate the annual and quarterly marketing, communications, and sustainability planning process (e.g. milestones, participants, actions, templates, and calendar), ensuring marketing’s goals are aligned with the company goals

  • Coordinate the budget strategy and manage the budget allocation and reconciliation process for all of marketing, communications, and sustainability

  • Understand data strategy development and infrastructure deployment, including data management and governance

  • Partner with purchasing to identify and manage external suppliers

  • Deliver effective change management and communications for process and transformation across marketing and communications

EXPERIENCE


  • 7-10 years of marketing experience, ideally in an operations role

  • Understanding of marketing and communications functions in a medium to large enterprise and their respective pressures on the marketing organization to drive demand and revenue

  • Demand creation/field marketing experience is desirable

  • Strong business acumen and influencing skills in a heavily matrixed environment

  • Data-driven marketing strategy, planning, budget and organizational alignment experience

  • Comfortable navigating in ambiguity and managing competing priorities

  • Strong communication skills, sense of humor, and an ability to adapt to audience needs and influence

  • Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations

  • Large-scale program management experience a plus
