The Sr. Digital Localization Manager will help plan, execute, and manage localization and web translation initiatives to ultimately improve customer experience across key regions. This person will also be responsible for collaborating with our regional and development teams to define/manage our translation software selection as well as the end-to-end digital content workflow. In addition, the Sr. Digital Localization Manager will be responsible for providing actionable data for the business at-large to facilitate strategic expansion of the languages we currently support and plan to support in the future. This will be in alignment with Marketing, Product, IT and Operational goals.
Position Responsibilities:
Plan and execute translation projects ranging from small, fast turnaround to large, complex initiatives in collaboration with development & regional teams.
Ensure strict adherence to deadlines and budgets, and ultimately produce high quality deliverables.
Own the full web translation lifecycle. Successful project delivery will include managing the vendor relationship, review process and delivery
Identify and manage backlog, requests, bug fixes and implications to development release schedule.
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies and guidelines to streamline the translations project
Provide status reporting regarding translations milestones, deliverables, risks and issues and communicate them to key stakeholders
Identify and assess translation implication regarding SEO best practice.
Position Requirements:
8+ years of Project Management experience with proven abilities in project planning, resource, and risk management.
Experience managing large-scale and/or multiple digital projects concurrently.
Ability to collaborate with different individuals across the organization and within other geographies.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Experience working with content management systems and content authoring tools. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and awareness of cross-cultural issues.
Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, may require an advanced degree (Master's), in applicable field or equivalent.
Typically has 10+ years of related experience.
Broad knowledge of all areas within web development (B2B experience preferred).
Extensive experience working with global teams and stakeholders across several regions.
Typically has depth of technical knowledge in function derived from experience in non-management roles.
