Manage the business unit inventory, including evaluation, approval of return from projects, inventory transactional alignment, execution, reconciliation and inventory projections and tracking.
Manage the implications and outlook associated with new product introduction and product life cycle strategy for product obsolescence.
Provide ongoing metrics and reporting related to goals set for forecast accuracy, forecast timeliness, forecast authorization, and forecast-related inventory exposure.
Establish a “spares” strategy for new suppliers and subsequent negotiations and existing suppliers and inventories.
Integrate full life cycle management techniques assuming a 10+ year environment of materials planning and management.
Work with suppliers, colleagues, business partners, and field teams to facilitate forecasting and ordering process. Resolve discrepancies related to products ordered versus forecasted.
Work closely with the strategic sourcing team to understand contracts with suppliers related to materials and services. Drive demand of materials and services to preferred suppliers.
Evaluate and submit analyses on monthly, quarterly and annual excess and obsolete materials to business units and accounting.
Assist with development of streamlined processes for forecast-to-order cycle and have good controls in place for the process.
A minimum of 5 years of materials demand planning experience required.
Oracle or other ERP system experience required.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
