About this role:

This leadership role sits in the Global Sales, Strategy & Operations (GSSO) division to improve the drivers of sales productivity across all segments and markets globally by supporting sales needs, diagnosing issues, uncovering sales efficiency opportunities, and innovating best-in-class sales solutions and analytics. GSSO division within Gartner encompasses Territory Design, Sales Technology, Sales Analytics, Sales Programs, and other core functions supporting Gartner's sales teams. This role will partner with business leaders across the company to support three sales forces composed of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function across the enterprise. This role will help increase sales productivity through the creation and implementation of innovative, long-term, sales solutions that meet client retention and growth goals and deliver strong returns on investment.

What you'll do:


  • Oversee and provide strategic thought leadership for Gartner's go-to-market and sales strategy for the future

  • Conduct a deep SWOT analysis of all the sales segments, sales roles/org structure, and sales inefficiencies via extensive quantitative analytics and sales interviews/discovery sessions

  • Drive a culture of 'test kitchen'- continuous innovation through test-and-learn

  • Get a deep understanding of the current state sales segments, sales roles/org structure, and sales inefficiencies via extensive quantitative analytics and sales interviews/discovery sessions

  • Drive complex sales consulting projects aligned to high priority business objectives by working closely with partners and senior leaders (Finance, Sales, Product, Marketing, HR, IT, Data Governance, etc.) across the business

  • Identify best sales practices and technological solutions which can be systematized and scaled across the business

  • Conceptualize, design, and execute solutions end-to-end that increase sales productivity

What you'll need:


  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in Management Consulting and/or Sales Operations, ideally with a top-tier firm. Practical, intuitive problem solver with a demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the creative development of solutions and strategies to solve sales problems.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required with a master's degree preferred. Degree with a concentration in engineering, computer science, management science, statistics, data science, operational research or finance preferred

  • People Leadership: Strong team management experience to setup, coach and motivate a high performing team

  • Exceptional problem solving: Proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively, and using data to tell a story to influence senior level stakeholders. Demonstrated thought leadership with high business impact throughout career

  • Success in fast-paced environments: Detailed oriented; Track record of success in fast-paced environments with competing and continuously evolving priorities

  • Leadership: Successfully led key initiatives; engaging teams and key stakeholders across business functions and at all levels of the organization

  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration and influencing skills in a highly matrixed environment

  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication - structured, engaging and compelling
