We are seeking a Physical Therapist - Sports Rehabilitation to:                          

• Guide patients of all ages through rehabilitation programs after they have specialized sports surgeries.


• Efficiently communicate with the sports primary care physicians and sports orthopedic surgeons for care coordination and collaboration.


• Provide specialty services using video analysis of sport biomechanics.


• Assess athletes so they can return to their sport.


• Work in collaboration with sports performance staff.

Education:
Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.

Work Experience:
Preferred - Two (2) years prior relevant experience

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum – Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin is required. Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator is required within 3 months of hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required. 


• Organization, time management, flexibility, and positive attitude are crucial to successful performance. 

Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled to work four (4), ten (10) hour shifts, Monday through Thursday between two clinics. Two shifts at one clinic will be from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Two shifts at the other clinic from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. No weekends or holidays are required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

UW Health Research Park Clinic - on Madison’s west side, is an 84,000-square foot facility housing physician and rehabilitation professionals in Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Orthopedics, Radiology, Spine and Sports Medicine. Our Fitness Center provides a resource for both working with patients while under our care and providing education after discharge. This environment creates many opportunities for face-to-face collaboration in the care of our patients.
