Position Details:

Location: Vancouver, WA

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Day

Schedule: Monday - Friday

SUMMARY:

The Systems Engineer designs, configures, installs, tests, and documents Wireless/LAN/WAN operations, servers, and other business systems of multiple sites. Troubleshoots performance and maintains security standards. Plans upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users and works with the Service Desk to resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assists the IT Manager to plan, direct, and govern the technology infrastructure to include systems and services of network infrastructure, servers, and telco.
* Evaluates limitations and capabilities of existing hardware, software, and network and reports on company's needs.
* Oversees the install, repair, and maintenance of infrastructural technology components for business-critical operations.
* Monitors the Local Area Network, Wireless, Wide Area Network, telecommunications and resolves issues.
* Maintains a strong working knowledge of developing technologies in hardware, software, and services.
* Receives Service Desk escalations and aids in resolution of high-level trouble incidents/problems.
* Keeps internal documentation up to date with evolving configurations.
* Communicates progress and obstacles to management and project team on an ongoing and regular basis.
* Participates in various migrations and upgrade projects.
* Keen customer service mentality.
* Participates in and keeps pace with the guidelines set forth in the Prestige Care IT Department Continuing Education Plan.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree or Technical Certification in Information Technology or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Windows-based IT environment
* Expertise in Windows 10 desktop operating systems.
* Mastery of Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 Server operating systems and infrastructural components: AD, Sites Services, DNS, DHCP.
* Expert knowledge of networks: architecting troubleshooting, subnets, LANs, VPNS, and QoS with redundant connectivity.
* Ability to administrate, implement, and troubleshoot Exchange 2013+ environments-including DAGs, Archival servers, and support multiple recipient domains.
* Ability to script in command line environments such as Windows command line, PowerShell, etc. Proficient with managing Barracuda firewalls and SPAM filtration solutions.
* Possesses strong interpersonal skills and effectively communicates with colleagues, both verbally and written.
* Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment.
* Ability to be self-motivated and directed, to effectively prioritize and execute task in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
* Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities. Meets deadlines and executes responsibilities with minimal errors.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage projects concurrently.:
