Viking Enterprise Solutions is a supplier of storage array systems, providing solutions to customers who are seeking a flexible, scalable and resilient platform on which to build public cloud or private cloud system. We are looking for an experienced UI/UX designer and front end software developer to work on robust and scalable storage management solutions.

The successful candidate will be work in a team responsible for building and maintaining storage management applications for our storage array systems utilizing open source and third-party software.

Key Accountabilities & Skills Required

• Create UI/UX designs using wire-framing with Adobe XD


• Development of the UI components for a number of applications usingHTML5, CSS and JavaScript
  


• Understanding and experience with web development with a focus on Front-End development.


• Enhancement and maintenance of existing front-end software


• Experience with Jenkins, Jira, and Ansible


• Development of automated unit and system testing


• Collaborate with other team members on shared items of work and communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment to ensure end to end delivery of features

Qualifications /Education

Skills and knowledge: Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design or related field, or demonstrated experience


• Graphics design experience preferred


• Experience with Adobe XD and creation of UI/UX for web applications


• 2-5years of software development experience


• Experience in creating outstanding user interfaces in a commercial environment


• Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies


• A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual in a team environment


• Understanding of the software development cycle


• Problem-solving skills - methodical approach


• Communication skills both verbal and written


• Ability to communicate and work with customers and end users


• Experience in HTML5, CSS, JS, and other software languages

Skills and knowledge: Desirable

• Familiar with data storage technologies (S3 Object, Block Devices, NFS and SMB File Systems).


• Familiarity with developing software in a Linux environment


• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes and Rancher
