Job Description:

Job Summary/objective

RedTown, LLC has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The position will assist in coding, processing, vouchering, and paying invoices according to company policy and in line with FAR regulations. The candidate must possess exceptional organizational skills, as well as proper communication skills both written and oral. In keeping with the segregation of duties, there will be other duties as assigned within the accounting department.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least one (1) year of experience in accounts payable
  • Strong capabilities in MS Office (especially Excel & Adobe Pro)
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of the FAR.
  • Experience processing payroll desired
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, and must be able to work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player and have the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Companies' organization and customer base

Essential Functions

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to vouchering
  • Process 3-way reconciliation of vendor invoices
  • Process PO vouchers
  • Process cash disbursements weekly, obtain signatures for checks, and distribute checks accordingly
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Maintain Accounts Payable files, maintain electronic invoices from suppliers in AP Directory
  • Support internal, external, and audits
  • Prepare requests for new suppliers
  • Will serve as payroll backup
  • Special projects as requested
  • Additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands/Requirements

  • Sitting 5.5 to 8 hours per day
  • Standing occasionally-.25 to 2.5 hours per day
  • Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally-.25 to 2.5 hours per day
  • Walking occasionally-.25 to 2.5 hours per day
  • Reach above occasionally-.25 to 2.5 hours per day
  • Bend/stoop occasionally-.25 to 2.5 hours per day
  • Use hands/fingers for fine manipulation continuous-5.5 to 8 hours per day.

  • Climate controlled office environment
