Job Description:

The List is seeking a Content Planner to coordinate and assist in communication with affiliates and production staff to maximize workflows and meet deadlines.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Plan, research, and set-up key materials to distribute to affiliates to help communicate and promote special shows, segments, and projects.


  • Network with and cultivate “List” worthy experts and story ideas that can lead to compelling content for the show.


  • Collaborate with Executive Producer(s), Supervising Producer(s) and Senior Producer to help maintain and update production schedule using multiple software programs.


  • Work with production team to ensure advanced planning and communication are key parts of the assigned segments to help team with workflow and deadlines.


  • Coordinate with digital and social media staff to facilitate content delivery on digital platforms.


  • Act as a liaison between Supervising Producer and Segment Producers to coordinate content on a weekly basis.


  • May work with team to research, write, and produce content for multiple platforms.


  • May work on special projects while coordinating with stations, production, and team members as needed.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Communications or other related or equivalent business experience.


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the entertainment or news  industry.


  • Experience with a media brand or television network desired.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:


  • Must be both strategic and creative in developing and enhancing relationships.


  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, able to multi-task.


  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.


  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.


  • Must be proficient with Google Apps and/or Microsoft Office apps (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
