Job Description:

Summary


The Stores Supervisor will lead and directs other Material Specialist, Lead and Material Specialist in their day-to-day duties. This includes providing responsive service, having all the transactions in order and keeping the store both clean and well organized. Be technically proficient in the use of the company's IT system and knowledgeable in all the department's policies and procedures. Provide guidance to Stores personnel and appropriately train new Material Specialist's. On behalf of the Manger, Materials control, perform administrative duties as assigned, to include scheduling, and time sheets, etc. In addition the Supervisor will oversee the upkeep of Stores and step in as needed to ensure the adequate supply of materials for aircraft maintenance

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.


Education: High School Diploma/GED


Education Details: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Certification Details: Forklift Certification


Years of Experience: Minimum three (3) years' experience working in an Airlines Stores environment Minimum one (1) years supervision experience in an inventory environmentMinimum two (2)-3 years' experience as a Team Lead in an Airline Stores environment

Preferred Requirements


* Must be available after hours, as needed, to support the Maintenance Department's activities that run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week


* Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License


* Must be able to obtain certification on forklift


* Must be able to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays


* Must be knowledgeable and capable of using Microsoft Office Suite at an Intermediate Level


* The ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers, is a requirement of the job


* Must be able to lift 70 LBS and push/pull up to 250 LBS with proper equipment


* Must successfully pass In-house Training, IATA or DOT approved Hazardous Materials Training


* The ability to Travel is required when needed to deliver parts to other Stations


* Must be able to manage multiple and varied activities


* The ability to make a sound decisions and prioritize workload to effectively manage Stores operational needs in the absence of the Manager, Material Control


* Describe the type and level of skills and knowledge required to handle the job's responsibilities


* Proficient with Microsoft Office products


* Knowledge of inventory management and computer inventory management systems/barcoding (preferred but not required)


* Strong typing skills


* Flexibility and agility skills


* Excellent verbal (telephone) communications skills


* Ability to work in a fast pace sometimes stressful environment


* Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen


* Must have the authorization to work in the US as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986



Job Duties


* Assure all aircraft-related parts, material, equipment, and tooling transactions are accurately processed and appropriately controlled.


* Handle day-to-day logistics associated with receiving, storage and shipments. Resolve issues as they arise and keep transactions up to date


* Assure outstation inventory transactions are entered into the system accurately and in a timely manner


* Coordinate and carry out major repetitive activities and/or special projects as directed by the Manager of Material Control or the Director of Material Services.


* This includes the assembly of parts and materials required to support heavy maintenance/modifications or induction aircraft, the performance of physical inventory counts, the rotation of shelf life-limited parts, the reorganization of inventory or the warehouse layout, re-labeling bins, etc., as required


* Work to assure a smooth operations interface with maintenance.


* Resolve issues raised by maintenance technicians and leads as they arise.


* Respond to inquiries from Maintenance Control and Maintenance Planning.


* Assist Quality Assurance / Control to assure continued regulatory compliance


* Perform transactions, as needed, to facilitate the timely performance of the Material Specialists in their duties and support the Manager of Materials Control, as requested, in his duties


* Schedule and supervise Material Specialists in a 24-hour day / 7 day week, 365-day year operation


* Mentor and provide training to new Material Specialist


* Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.


* Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.


* Other duties as assigned.

Airport Agent - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e. hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.). May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
