The Team


 

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join American Tower’s Strategic Finance - Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) team.  The Strategic Finance FP&A team partners with multiple internal stakeholders to support the capital allocation strategy across the company and provide actionable analyses and recommendations driven by detailed analytics. Day to day, you will be responsible for a variety of functions, including but not limited to financial modeling, deal evaluation and analysis, and market research.  You will obtain and communicate information that is financial and operational in nature, analyze information, and prepare various deal models and summaries of results to be used at all organizational levels.

What You Can Offer Us

• Build, develop and present various deal models and scenarios to key business stakeholders


• Lead financial reviews with various business leaders in support of deal structure, acquisition price, discount rate


• Spearhead collaboration between groups to develop business plans and valuation support as part of new product development activities.


• Provide deep technical and analytical expertise when responding to complex, specialized modeling and report requests.


• Provide thoughtful and comprehensive financial analyses to stakeholders, leveraging various data sources to drive informed decisions within the Company.


• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• Exemplify initiative, intelligence, strong attention to detail, and integrity in striving for continuous improvement.


• Prior experience with valuations and/or transaction services, using DCF, multiples analysis, NPV to understand, evaluate and compare opportunities.  


• Strong grasp of financial concepts (IRR, NOI, Cap Rate, DCF, ROI etc); working knowledge of GAAP principles and P&L impacts preferred


• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.


• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees effectively and professionally to achieve results.


• Be a strategic, agile, and responsive partner in a fast-paced environment.


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related major required; Master’s degree preferred.


• Minimum 3 years of experience in a business environment in a financial analysis or accounting role required.


• CFA or CPA candidate preferred.


• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and using advanced formulas).


• Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
