As a Senior Analog Design Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Work closely with system architects to design, develop and evaluate electrical hardware platforms such as surface and downhole power supplies, signal processing boards, RF transmitters and receivers, modems and transmission lines, including the required analog and digital interfaces
Define specifications of modular platforms with Product Lines & Suppliers
Schematic design, layout execution/guidance
Manual and automated circuit board testing
Commercial documentation release
Develop algorithms for control systems, signal processing and measurement error modeling

To be successful in this role you will have:
Requirements:
MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering / Physics
Expertise in analog electronics design for mixed-signal environments, covering a broad range of topologies and components such as op-amps, power switching ICs
Experience with signal conditioning, integrity, and error modeling applied to the design of high precision analog and digital electronics
Knowledge of low noise design techniques including filters, grounding, and shielding practices, power system noise analysis
Design of transmitter and receiver antennae, associated electronics and signal processing code for geophysical measurements and communication
Power System Modeling & Design - AC/DC Linear and Switching Supplies, Inverters and motor controllers and drivers
Experienced in the design and testing of electromechanical systems, including servos, actuators & motors along with discrete and analog electronics
Design of high temperature analog and power electronics for reliability, including testing practices and lifetime modeling
Desired Qualifications:
Modeling and simulation using SIMetrix, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools
Background with EMI/ EMC testing, design verification and validation
Knowledge and experience in grounding, shielding and ground isolation techniques for safety and power/signal integrity purposes
Electrical component selection for extreme environments and familiarity with downhole environmental testing and qualification standards including temperature, shock, and vibration screening
Domain knowledge and experience in reliability and failure analysis on components and subassemblies
Knowledge of design for manufacturing / production and testing methods for electronics systems
Experience creating engineering documentation such as PCB designs, electrical drawings, bills of material, and block diagrams
Understanding of microcontrollers, DSPs, and embedded hardware for development of electrical sub-systems
Control systems design and analysis
Knowledge of electronic packaging for ASICs and Multi-Chip Modules
Silicon level ASIC design and simulation a plus
