PENDING CONTRACT AWARD

TASK DESCRIPTION: Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Mechanic II (23092):

 

ALSE II plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates Aircrew Flight Equipment operations pertaining to equipment accountability, personnel reliability, mobility, and other such activities required to meet operational readiness; associated databases shall be maintained to ensure equipment accountability. Position establishes performance standards, improves work methods, and advises on inspection, repair, and repacking of aircrew flight equipment. ALSE II ensures serviceability based on required specifications and technical publications. Position evaluates problems and determines feasibility of repair or replacement related to inspecting and repairing fabric, rubber equipment, and parachutes.

 

Task Requirements:

 


  • Work, cooperate and communicate, as directed, with supervisors, team leaders and coworkers satisfactorily.

  • Knowledgeable with Joint Satellite Tracking System (JSETS), CAD/PAD and AWIS.

  • Working knowledge of OOMA.

  • Will work in close proximity to ordnance, must have previously qualified as Quality Assurance Safety Observer (QASO).

  • Possess a working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and 13 Series manuals.

  • Observe personal safety and line precautions around aircraft and workspaces.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 


  • Six (6) or more years of practical experience in the management, administration, or operation military flight equipment maintenance programs. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 


  • Knowledgeable with Joint Satellite Tracking System (JSETS), CAD/PAD and AWIS.

  • Working knowledge of OOMA.

  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years Aviation experience.

  • Previously completed Parachute Rigger “A” School.

  • Will work in close proximity to ordnance, must have previously qualified as Quality Assurance Safety Observer (QASO).

  • Possess a working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and 13 Series manuals.

  • Observe personal safety and line precautions around aircraft and workspaces.

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within Military aviation

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

  • Must be able work work-week schedules i.e. M-F, Sn-Th or as required per PWS

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance

  • Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft

  • Must be able to use hand and power tools

  • Must have dexterity to handle small parts

  • Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties if required

 

Employment is contingent on a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
