Engagement and Data Coordinator at Saint Anselm College

Job Description:

Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, has an immediate opening for an Engagement and Data Coordinator to join the college’s Meelia Center for Community Engagement. Reporting to the Director of the Meelia Center, this 10-month (August 1 - May 31), full-time position assists in the management and oversight of management and oversight of Meelia Center community partnerships, including student coordination of partnerships, management of engagement and impact data, and social media and other forms of marketing and communication. Special focus of the work is the oversite of the data management process, assisting in the management of the day-to-day operations in the office, oversite of social media and the website, and engagement with student leaders in all aspects of the work. Will contribute to the personal and professional development of Meelia student staff, volunteers, and community engaged learners through trainings and reflections.

Primary Responsibilities:  Work with the Meelia Center Director, Assistant Director, and student leaders to fully prepare and support engaged students, faculty, and staff.  Assist in the management of day-to-day operations in the office; work with student leaders to ensure that they are trained in all department forms, procedures and office equipment, and maintaining proper office etiquette and orderliness; help provide information and support to student volunteer applicants as they come into the office; support student leaders in providing that information to applicants.  Assist students as they develop a plan for community engagement that enhances their personal, professional, civic, and career goals. Manage all data systems and flow of communication to recruit, place, and support the effective and efficient engagement of approximately 400 weekly volunteers and community engaged learners and 600+ occasional volunteers. Manage Meelia Center engagement information in manner for easy reporting of annual reports, grant reports, and periodic data requests from Admissions, Institutional Research, Development Office, President’s Office, and Campus Communications. Manage the Meelia Center website, social media, blog, and other forms of communications.

Bachelor’s degree required, experience working in a community organization or with college students is preferred. Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of campus/community engagement principles, experience working with college student volunteers and leaders, have experience using social media platforms, and data management. Demonstrates an understanding of social justice, diversity, and equity. Requires effective communication with local community agencies and non-profit organizations. Strong writing, organizational, planning, and administrative skills needed. Also requires commitment to community engagement and a solid understanding of the mission and goals of a small Catholic, liberal arts college, combined with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of College staff and students, and to represent the College to a variety of outside constituents.
