As a Manufacturing Technician Specialist, you will collaborate with Manufacturing, New Product Introduction (NPI), and R&D teams supporting both the Colorado Springs Technology Center (CSTC) and the Digital and Photonics Center of Excellence (DP-COE). Responsibilities:

There is a variety of responsibilities you may be assigned, including:

-Performing a variety of duties within the Colorado Springs Technology Center (CSTC) manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI) environments including supporting internal customer requests for repair, solder rework, kludging of electronic components, materials handling, assembly, process and test support, quality inspection, etc.

-Must be able to perform manual soldering of high-precision components

-Experienced in writing instructions and procedures

-Experienced in reading and interpreting assembly and tool drawings, part drawings/specifications and rework instructions

-Assist with NPI builds and production rework

-Perform modules tests and work with engineering on Failure Analysis of modules

-Knowledge of and open to learning of, Failure Analysis Equipment such as: Keyence, XRF, SEM, Cross-sectioning activities, and C-SAM

-Good reading and listening comprehension skills in situation where there are limited instructions

-Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Oracle as well as other computer-based tools

-Good communication skills both verbally and in writing to various staff members including engineers, technicians, and managers

-Creates detailed report findings on FA data for engineering evaluation

-Actively collaborate and participate for the Continuous Process Improvement commitment of Keysight

-Responsible for completing a variety of tasks which require planning, prioritization, and good judgement.

-Work well and communicate with cross-functional teams of Manufacturing, NPI engineers, R&D engineers, Tech Support, Marketing and others.

-Work in high pressure schedule situations and be able to deal with unplanned interrupts and requests.


Job Qualifications




Basic Qualifications:

3 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing or NPI environment or equivalent

High School Diploma or GED

2-4 years of Soldering and Manufacturing Experience

Desired Qualifications:

Oracle and Enovia 3DX knowledge a plus

Failure Analysis and Failure Analysis Equipment Experience

Excellent solder techniques / skills

Higher education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Specialized training / certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Excellent solder techniques / skills

Knowledge of solder tools and techniques for complex assemblies

Basic computer skills

Working knowledge of standard Microsoft application including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Fast learner who is willing to take on new responsibilities as the business changes and evolves

Positive attitude

Good communication skills

Attention to detail

High sense of ownership and accountability

Ability to thrive in an interrupt-driven environment and deliver results under schedule pressure

Demonstrated flexibility and tolerance of ambiguity and change

Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to work in a cross functional team environment successfully
