On Demand Messaging

The DMM (Document Management Markets) Team is a specialized Partner Account Management cohort within the OpenText On Demand Message (ODM) group which is part of the Digital Experience and powered by the world's largest business network in the Cloud. Our ODM team offers a set of solutions that facilitate efficient and secure messaging and management of information inside and outside of the organization. The world's largest companies run in the OpenText Cloud that is supported 24/7 by our managed services team and enables 20 billion digital commerce transactions per year.

The opportunity:

OpenText is searching for a Partner Account Manager reporting to the Director of Partner Account Managers within the ODM group. The role is focused on Partner Management of Multi-Function Product Manufacturers, Mega-Dealers and IT Managed Service Providers that resell our products and services. This role has the following responsibility:

The Partner Account Manager is responsible for Startup, Ramp and Grow initiatives with a short list of Strategic MFP Industry Partners. These partners resell cloud and software solutions in partnership with the OpenText Account Executives. The successful candidate will manage the strategic partner relationships and recruit new channel partners within North America. This is a Virtual Office position and has some travel requirements. They must maintain corporate standards for various sales metrics such as pipeline, revenue growth, other corporate administrative objectives and goals.

You are great at:

* At least 10 years of demonstrated & successful outside sales and/or channel sales, partner management experience in software and/or services solutions within the MFP Industry required

* Partner Management and an SME expert within the MFP Industry

* Strategic, entrepreneurial, discussions with C level executives and business owners

* Develop and implement Go To Market strategies with partners to help them achieve their sales goals associated to reselling OpenText products and services.


* Meet and exceed overlay quota greater than $10 million

* Facilitate the utilization of corporate resources to enable Account Executives to close large opportunities in partnership with assigned MFP Partners.

* Requires Strong Webinar Presentation skills via Video Communications such as (Teams, WebEx, Zoom)

* Navigate contracts and ability to negotiate terms at an executive level

* Ensure partners are equipped with current pricing, marketing materials and other resources so that they can be successful

* Work with all internal OpenText resources including, Product Management, Marketing, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Support, Senior Leadership Team and Sales.

* Develop and Execute Business Development Programs that will help build pipeline

* Conduct regular Business Review with your partners


* Utilize our CRM (Salesforce) and provide timely feedback on requested reports

What it takes:

* Business acumen and in-depth knowledge of the MFP, Managed Print Services, IT Managed Services Market

* Independent, self-starter with the ability to work from a home office Virtual environment as part of an Empowered Self-Directed Workgroup

* 25% travel in accordance with company policy's when restrictions are lifted

* Batchelor's Degree

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

* Positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude towards work

* Strong problem solving, forecasting and organizational (including matrix management) skills


* Comfortable dealing with technical and contractual issues

* Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Prior HP or Canon business work or partner experience preferred but working with other MFP manufacturers also considered
