Job Description:


The Dialysis Group Facility Administrator position is for our Southwest Fort Worth Clinic in Fort Worth, TX, located at 5127 Granbury Road, Fort Worth, TX 76133.

The Group Administrator is responsible for oversight for the management and day to day operation of typically two (2) to four (4) Administrators and their assigned facilities. The Group Administrator may also have direct responsibility for the overall management and operation of one (1) assigned facility. The Group Administrator reports directly to first line regional operational management which may be an Area Director, Regional Director, or Vice President of Operations, depending on the region/demographics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

GROWTH


  • Responsible for overseeing overall operation of assigned clinics from a fiscal, clinical, technical, regulatory, personnel, business management and growth perspective in accordance with Company goals.
  • Oversee patient scheduling, admission and retention at assigned clinics.
  • Work with Administrators toward the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual projections based on financial and management objectives.
  • Oversee and recommend implementation of clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.
  • Responsible for achieving financial targets to include budget, labor costs, supply costs and expenditures at assigned clinics.

OUTCOMES

  • Supervise the review/recommendations of all incident reports and ensure action is taken relative to incidents as appropriate.
  • Participate in promoting a quality management program at assigned clinic(s) through education and involvement of staff and patients in outcomes as well as responsibility to achieve corporate goals for quality. Participates in QAPI meetings and quality improvement committees.
  • Oversee standards and methods of measuring patient care services, including a chronological record of services provided to patients as required by the ESRD Network Coordinating Council and Medicare.
  • Works with Administrators to achieve program(s) target goals for patient outcomes in accordance with quality patient care and Company goals.

OPERATIONAL READINESS

  • Assures that assigned clinics are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and receive continuing certification from all statutory and regulatory agencies.
  • Works with Administrators to ensure compliance with all Company standards, guidelines, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Assists Administrators with necessary Corrective Action Plan development, implementation and follow through as required for internal and external surveys.
  • Follows up on any/all deficiencies for all audits done internally (corporate) or externally (CMS & State Surveys).
  • Assures compliance with required Governing Body meetings, monthly CQI meetings and care plan conferences and assures documentation of such through recorded minutes.
  • Work with Administrator at assigned clinics to assure that Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement Program is current at all times.
  • Responsible for staff and patient safety at designated facilities.
  • Assures a safe and sanitary physical environment is maintained throughout the assigned facilities; that all equipment is maintained and functions properly; and that adequate and appropriate inventory levels of all supplies are available and used correctly.
  • Identify and report physical plant issues; follow through until the issues are corrected or resolved.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.

PARTNERSHIPS

  • Understands, leads and promotes the Company's mission and philosophy relating to ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility and objectives.
  • Communicates with regional management on a consistent basis regarding the status of each assigned clinic.
  • Monitor all contractual agreements; update as needed in consultation with the appropriate corporate staff.
  • Develops physician and referral source relationships and oversees local marketing efforts.
  • Acts as liaison with Medical Directors and physicians to coordinate quality patient care.
  • Acts as liaison between the clinics and clinical teams and the corporate office and its departments.
  • Actively promote GUEST customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT/ RETENTION

  • Develop, mentor and provide support to designated Administrators to achieve operational and clinical goals.
  • Supervises the hiring of facility staff as needed in collaboration with Administrators and Human Resources Department.
  • Ensure all staff at designated clinics meet required qualifications for position held and perform duties within limitations established by and in accordance with company policy/procedures, health care professionals practice acts, applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Oversee training, development, and performance management of all clinic personnel.
  • Maintain effective personnel management and employee relations, including evaluating the performance of personnel; approving and submitting all hours worked and counseling and disciplining employees.
  • Uphold management goals of corporation by leading staff in team concepts and promoting a team effort.
  • Effectively communicates expectations; accepts accountability and holds others accountable for performance.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:


  • Minimum of two (2) years prior experience of demonstrated excellence in managing a dialysis center as an Administrator or prior management experience in a multi-site health care provider.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or nursing is required. Combination of education, specialty certifications and experience in related area will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and to perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous dialysis management experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong public relations skills for dealing with physicians, vendors, hospital personnel, Managed Care Organizations, etc. are valuable.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); proficiency in all USRC applications required within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must meet applicable, specific state requirements. (See addendum for Administrator)

ADMINISTRATOR
STATE SPECIFIC REGULATIONS

GEORGIA


  • Hold at least a baccalaureate degree and has at least one (1) year experience in an end stage renal disease facility OR
  • Meets the qualifications for a physician director or a nurse responsible for nursing services for an end stage renal disease facility OR
  • Has been acting for at least two (2) years as a facility administrator for an end stage renal disease facility which has been certified for the federal Medicare program.

MARYLAND

IF NOT THE DESIGNATED CEO FOR THE CLINIC, MUST:


  • Be 21 years old or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma.
    Have at least one (1) year of dialysis experience.
  • Have no criminal conviction or other criminal history that indicates behavior that is potentially harmful to patients, documented through either a criminal history records check or criminal background check completed within one (1) month before employment.

NEW JERSEY

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and the equivalent of at least one (1) year experience in supervising renal dialysis services OR
  • Five (5) years full-time experience in the provision of renal dialysis services and documentation of supervisory experience for at least one (1) year.

SOUTH CAROLINA

  • Hold at least a baccalaureate degree or have a minimum of an associate degree in a health-related field with at least two (2) years experience in ESRD within the past five (5) years.

WYOMING

PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE FACILITY TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS PER DAY AND IS:


  • A physician OR
  • A Registered Nurse who has at least six (6) months of experience working in a renal dialysis center OR
  • An individual with a bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience in health service administration, preferably in a renal dialysis center.
