Overview

Provide guidance and support to ensure business units' adherence with regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices relating to vendor management. Conduct vendor due diligence and ongoing monitoring of vendor performance. Advise management on emerging vendor management issues and take appropriate action as required.

Responsibilities:

    Responsible for validating the administrative functions in the area and directly support the Supervisor in the daily operations of Vendor Management;
  • Adhere to established Vendor Management policies and procedures to ensure internal and external regulatory compliance;

  • Validate the Vendor Relationship Profile questions and follow up for completeness;

  • Collaborates with legal units to support and coordinate the contract management function; and results are properly uploaded and communicated in central repository (VIDD);

  • Monitor contract action alerts and notify contract owner and /or vendor for resolution;

  • Validate the Vendor Risk Assessment questionnaire responses from Vendor and Business Owner for accuracy and timely completion;

  • Assist and monitor the vendor termination process;

  • Track and monitor vendor audit tracking to ensure due diligence risk and performance findings are properly documented and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Prepare ad-hoc vendor due diligence reports and vendor performance reports as requested;

  • Run metrics and reports to measure and monitor Vendor Management processes. Completes assorted projects within vendor management team;

  • Escalate vendor management issues for resolution and / or review and approval to the Supervisor.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate project timelines within SLA to ensure timely completion with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Knowledge of relevant Vendor Management regulatory guidelines and/or experience within a regulated environment (Bank, Financial Services Firm etc.). Experienced relationship management skills, contract management; Knowledge of vendor management best practices.

Must be a team player, have the ability to work under pressure, have a professional image and be able to resolve problems and conflicts. Must possess basic business communications skills such as advanced writing, listening and have basic office and mathematics skills, and customer service skills.




Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

One to three years of experience managing vendor contracts, either through sourcing, contracting, vendor risk management or equivalent banking experience.




Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:

Internet and MS Office (must be proficient in Excel) , SmartSheet, Concur, LexisNexis. Ideally with knowledge in Vendor Insight and/or Archer Platforms.

  • Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree
