Division Information

Kenworth Truck Company is the manufacturer of The World's Best heavy and medium duty trucks. Kenworth is an industry leader in providing fuel-saving technology solutions that help increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The company's dedication to the green fleet includes aerodynamic trucks, compressed and liquefied natural gas trucks, and medium duty diesel-electric hybrids.

Here's what you will do in this role:

* New development mechanical engineering role in cab structures area.

* Participate in the design and development of truck programs.

* Utilize Creo/Pro-E to create optimized part and assembly of moderate to complex designs requiring

independent judgment.

* Work with internal and external organizations to validate the designs.

* Utilize PACCAR and industry systems to manage the product implementation process, track costs, and

support new product introductions.

* Work closely with multiple PACCAR divisions.

Skills & Qualifications:

* BSME required; Masters degree and P.E. certificate desirable.

* Prefer 2+ years industry-related background in the design and specification of heavy-duty trucks

* Knowledge of Creo/Pro-E or other solids modeling software required.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Competency in the use of personal computer software including project management tools, word

processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

* Solid understanding in use of Design for Six Sigma and Six Sigma techniques.

* Willingness to learn and make use of new engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in

solving complex technical problems.

* Past experience in product development and new product implementation necessary.

* Ability to work in a team environment.

* Candidates should have a willingness to grow personally and professionally and be results oriented.
