As part of the Business Intelligence discipline, you will lead and help grow our analytics practice, focusing on establishing descriptive and predictive services that enable a deeper understanding of consumers, from inspiration to intent. You will partner with Growth, Product, and Editorial teams across Meredith's portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands, which include People, Better Homes and Gardens, and Allrecipes, to create great experiences, value, utility, and inspiration for our audience.

40% Drive Business Impact: Partner with the Growth, Product, and Editorial teams to drive engagement initiatives. Contribute to experiment design, measurement methodology, and analysis. Build forecasts and models to help understand potential business impact. Identify opportunities to increase market share and engagement. Deliver recommendations that help teams achieve business objectives.

30%Manage Audience Insights Services: Contribute to the continued development and enhancement of our audience analytics services, which enable insight into consumer interests, motivations, and journeys. Design, prototype, and build reporting and dashboards. Contribute to planning, solution design, solution development, and governance.

15%Leadership: Write case studies and socialize the business impact of the Audience Insights team's work. Provide input on cross-team analytics and insights efforts. Foster cross-team collaboration and communication.

Seek to constantly and proactively improve and evolve our services, productivity, and efficiency through automation, prioritization, and process optimization.

15%Contribute to Strategy and Innovation: Participate in strategic development and near and long term team planning. Stay abreast of industry trends, leading edge platforms and technical frameworks. Initiate and oversee exploratory proofs of concept with internal and external partners. Translate big ideas into actionable plans.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

Bachelor's in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data science or other sciences, such as psychology or physics or equivalent experience.

Experience:


  • 2-3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, working with large data sets.

  • Increasing leadership responsibility, working with diverse teams in local and remote offices.

  • Proven ability to understand business needs and translate those needs to technical requirements and technical solutions.

  • Proven ability to evolve a strategy to a set of objectives and a tactical execution plan.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

ESSENTIAL:


  • Advanced skills in data analysis, including statistical and competitive evaluation and synthesis.

  • Experience with video analytics platforms, such as Tubular, in addition to video analytics experience with O&O video, social video, and YouTube.

  • Advanced proficiency in web analytics platforms - Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.

  • Experience applying data analytics, statistics, and forecasting to solve business problems.

  • Intermediate proficiency utilizing SQL and scripting languages such as R, Python, PHP, Perl, etc. within relational databases.

  • Ability to develop holistic understanding of consumer behavior by combining and analyzing data from a variety of sources, including web analytics, survey data, and third party data sources.

  • Ability to translate business questions to technical requirements.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including verbal, written, listening, presentation, and collaboration.

  • Ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Be able to think strategically and act tactically. Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as both a leader and an individual contributor.

  • Be a problem-solver, not just a problem alerter.

  • Be humble.

  • Passion and knowledge of digital ecosystems and digital customer experience best practices

NICE TO HAVE:


  • Exposure to taxonomy.

  • Experience with machine learning, modeling and/or predictive analytics.

  • Exposure to A/B testing best practices.

  • A good eye for visualization - an understanding of how data can be transformed to drive more meaning from the data being presented. If data is our product, data visualization is our product UX.
