Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist to join our Tactical Space Global Supply Chain. The person hired into this role will join the services subcontracts team, and will be responsible for contract administration of services. This positon is located in Dulles, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and negotiate NDAs
Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) and identify sources eligible to receive RFP for complex and/or non-routine procurement requirements
Evaluate suppliers' proposals for compliance with RFP and fact find suppliers' proposals
Participate and/or co-lead in the source selection team for competitive procurements
Perform a cost and/or price analysis to determine price reasonableness
Negotiate with suppliers on price, schedule, and terms and conditions, and any other contractual requirements. May lead negotiations with supplier
May perform as the lead for lower value NG proposal efforts, providing GSC status to the Program and creating presentations for Commitment Reviews
Mentor other subcontract professionals, as appropriate
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of supply chain, contract administration, and/or subcontracts experience; or a master's degree and at least 4 years supply chain, contracts, and/or supplier performance experience. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree
Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.)
Comfortable leading negotiations and preparing price analyses of supplier proposals
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace experience
Contract administration experience related to services
