The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Establishing new clients through sales opportunities

  • Building and managing sales through strategic partnerships within the industry  

  • Growing existing client base through strategic support

  • Providing subject matter expert at trade shows, webinars, and through social media

  • Providing industry and market intelligence

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from(completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in business development in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement

  • Five (5) years of experience in selling and/or delivering/implementing complex solutions across the healthcare industry.

  • Seven (7) years of sales experience and/or  five (5) years of experience in healthcare executive management for a payer or provider organization and/or seven (7) years of healthcare consulting

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Preference given to individuals with knowledge of Western US healthcare market (AZ, CA, ID, NV, OR, UT, WA); residence in that geography preferred

  • Knowledge of Value Based Care market

  • Proven ability to communicate with decision makers throughout the healthcare landscape

  • Must have knowledge of and experience with contract negotiations and contract management

  • Demonstrated sales and leadership experience required

  • Experience in government healthcare programs

  • Preference being given to the health plan market

  • Sales training and experience with Salesforce as a tracking tool

Location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
