Job Description:

Work is outdoors with a team at both the Argo and Gallup Livery locations. Works under Assistant Facility Supervisors and the Recreation Supervisor. Duties will include the handling and care of the canoes, kayaks and other boats, assisting patrons with boat rentals and performing various assigned maintenance and repair tasks. May exert up to 80 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of forces constantly to move objects.

Starting Hourly Rate: $10.13

Work Schedule: Season is April to October. Regular weekend and holiday work is required. Actual number of hours worked per week is contingent upon weather conditions and time of year.

Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment. The City offers CPR/AED and First Aid classes, which are free to Parks employees.

Experience

Required

• Minimum age requirement of 16 years. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to perform heavy manual labor and follow oral and written instructions without close supervision. CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.

Preferred

• Past experience in customer service and outdoor recreation.
