Overview

The School of Professional Studies (SPS) seeks an individual to serve as the Associate Director of Graduate Degree and Contuning Education Programs for Management and Technology for the Division of Programs in Business. This individual will participate in strategic/academic planning and policy/curriculum development; recruit and hire qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses; oversee the scheduling of courses, market the program, and assist in recruiting students.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.

Preferred Education:
Advanced degree in management and technology or a business-related discipline strongly preferred.

Required Experience:
5-7 years' managerial experience or equivalent combination in relevant field. Must include professional experience in relevant field of business/professional services or higher education. Must have a student-centered service attitude, a collaborate approach to working with faculty and be able to work well with a multi-cultural community of faculty and students. Must have direct familiarity with relevant field.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in management and technology and in higher education with program and curriculum development, supervision of instructional and program staff, and the program budget.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to plan, develop and implement programs and develop retention strategies based on an understanding of the content area. Ability to engage credibly with industry, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, evaluate programs and staff, and market programs and retain students. Familiarity with emerging technologies.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Practical and substantive understanding of business, particularly in the area of management and technology. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Must be able to work in a changing environment and practice creative problem-solving.
