Job Description:




Job Description and Responsibilities:

Be a part of the world's largest and most
innovative laser company by serving as the first
point of contact for customers requiring new lasers
for their cutting-edge applications. You'll be
working with the North American Laser Tools
division, marketing, R&D
and applications groups
to qualify potential customers and to determine
which of our lasers and systems is the best
solution. You will represent Coherent at
tradeshows around the country and - when
customers visit us - you will coordinate and host
visits as
required by sales. You will also provide
technical product training to newly hired national
and international sales engineers. This position
will enable you to develop an in-depth knowledge
of Coherent products and applications and ready
you to a move into
a System sales, scientific sales,
OEM sales or product management position. This
position requires a technical degree and is based
in Santa Clara, California.

Assist Sales in development andqualification of new leads.
Support sales growth in targetedmarkets. Identify companies,contacts, and applications andwork with field sales to executeinitiatives to grow in the targetedmarket.
Initiate and assist in developmentof quotes.
Direct Sales of basic lasersystems.
Understand and establishcustomer expectations.
Take the lead on bookingcustomer POs, reviewing andresolving issues/discrepancieswith quotes, customer POs, andinternal customers.
Post-Purchase Order customerfollow-up.




Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor degree in science related field or equivalent working experienceunderstanding basic laser parameters, good communication and computer skills.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
Self-directed / self-starter - able to take initiative to search out information andassistance needed to effectively complete tasks.
Flexibility - able to manage multiple priorities and move between tasks quickly.
Demonstrated teaming skills - able to collaborate with a variety of individuals todeliver results on-time.

Additional Experience; not required, but a plus:
Previous sales and marketing support experience
Familiarity with CRM programs (ex: Salesforce, ACT)
MS Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
