Job Summary

As a Senior Financial Analyst you play a key role in the Hybrid Cloud Business Unit Finance team, supporting Engineering, Ontap Flash and Hybrid Business. This individual is responsible for supporting several VP's and managers in the organization as well as their operational staff. It includes performing research and financial modeling to help with decision-making process along with assisting requests from Corporate finance or other stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

This role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis tasks. It includes but is not limited to:

* Business partnering and financial modeling for Ontap Flash and Hybrid business

* Business partnering and financial assistance with Engineering team

* Managing opex, headcount, and other spend for the teams supported. Report forecast, actuals, and variance analysis at month/quarter end.

* Working with operational teams to forecast spending and effectively utilize budgets and set priorities.

* Other ad-hoc projects or activities to provide FP&A support.

Job Requirements

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams.

* Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.

* Ability to follow standard accounting and finance practices, and departmental procedures and processes.

* Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

* Hyperion skills a plus.

- Work with minimal supervision, particularly when tasks are unstructured and can multi-tasks and prioritize work, and proactively anticipate and avoid financial or communication issues.

- Is not afraid of taking on new challenges

Education

* 8 years of experience managing expenses, forecasting, and budgeting preferred. Experience supporting operational and business staff members.

* Solid understanding of accounting principles required.

* BA or BS in business, finance or accounting or equivalent degree required.

* Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical tasks.
