Job Responsibilities We are looking for a Security Solution Architect with subject-matter expertise in infrastructure and endpoint security as it relates to both cloud and on-premises enterprise environments. The solution architect should be able to understand internal customer's business objectives and requirements and map these business needs into technical and security architectures. This individual will be responsible for the architectural design and implementation of infrastructure and endpoint security solutions.
Partner with the GIS Security Program Manager in supporting Infosec strategies and objectives
Provide technical thought leadership in overall infrastructure and endpoint security solution development
Develop effective architecture solutions that not only satisfy immediate technical and functional requirements but also deliver a coherent, reusable, reliable and phased architecture to help the business grow and change while aligning to strategic vision
Work closely with Infosec team to understand business drivers, desired business outcomes and collect technical requirements
Collaborate with various GIS teams to create solution design/architecture and develop deployment models
Lead emerging trend research, orchestrate product evaluations, and select the latest industry standards and tools
Minimum Qualifications
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with design, implementation and support of one or more of the following in an enterprise environment
Expert knowledge of Palo Alto - Entire product line e.g.: NGFW, IDS/IPS, Cortex, Panorama, PRISMA, Wildfire
Expert knowledge of Cisco security products - ISE, Umbrella, NGFW
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
5+ years of experience designing and developing infrastructure and endpoint security solutions
Hands-on information security experience in large enterprise environments
Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models
CISSP, CISM, ISSMP or similar certification
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
Able to explain technical ideas to business audience
Ability to collaborate across many participating teams
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to think "out of the box" required
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet reasonable deadlines
Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
Good understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing
