Overview

Summary/Objective:

This position provides business line support for planning product plans and direction, channel support, and sales support. The Product Manager interacts with sales, product development, marketing and customer service to ensure that marketing programming and direction accurately reflects benefits and features from every user perspective and persona. This position will have direct reports and will report to the Director - Product.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

    Develop product plans that drive share and/or revenue growth
  • Track customer care, dashboard, metrics, consumer feedback, customer satisfaction to measure performance and employment of existing and new functionalities and features

  • Collaborate with senior managers to define the product roadmap by developing market-specific problem statements, using business cases, scenarios, sharing recommendations and results

  • Complete competitive analysis and providing insights to Manager

  • Support channel partners with sales collateral, best practices, and training

  • Collaborate cross functionally on competitor pricing, market development, item analytics, selling and field solutions

  • Be "the face" of Aftermarket Marine Product Lines at Selected Trade Shows and internally.

  • Approves press releases, marketing bulletins, & new product launches

  • Communicate and train Salespeople, Customer Service, Tech Services and other departments on product lines

  • Collaborate with Quality and Testing teams and provide priority direction

  • Conduct ongoing product life cycle reviews and works with team on product rationalization

  • Determine product pricing based on market research, product costs and anticipated demand

  • Manage a product team and provides coaching, direction and leads by example

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:


  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.

  • May sit for several hours at a time.

  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.

  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:



  • Work Experience: 5 years of marketing or merchandising experience, knowledgeable in RV and Marine industries a plus.


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related field


  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)


  • Organization Skills: Excellent organizational, ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed


  • Cross-functional Skills: Ability to communicate and collaborate across all functional areas


  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate and collaborate within a high functioning team; professional & pleasant demeanor; demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer; ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customers externally


  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to read, write, type and sit for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day; ability to analyze and solve complex problems; possess a high degree of attention to detail; some travel may be required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are dictated your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be moderate and would be primarily local during the business day.

Travel will be 25% of the role.

Preferred Education and Experience:


  • Marine industry experience

  • MBA or Masters Degree preferred
