Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate overall technical deployment of new services and systems with focus on scalability, reliability, repeatability, and self-healing configuration in Linux and Windows environment
Work on environment architecture, extension, expansion, storage usage, performance, and future directions
Implement and utilize configuration management system such as Ansible
Consult with teams using SRM for site monitoring and reporting
Recommend useful metrics to maximize an application's performance and growth
Monitor and recommend best use of SRM capabilities
Train users in SRM products
Support and problem determination for SRM operations
Assist users in debugging issues with their applications using SRM data
Create and maintain documentation to all mentioned duties
Complete other tasks as required
Experience, Education and Skills
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of systems reliability engineering and administration experience with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a plus)
3+ years of experience with measurement and metrics tools (using, maintaining, configuring, consulting, extension, application development, and training others in their use)
3+ years of experience with Containers creation and management utilizing Kubernetes
Experience with web languages, such as XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Scripting and development experience in one or more of these languages: Bash, Python, Ruby, or PHP
Ability to work effectively at all levels in the organization
Linux systems and internet services experiences, such as DNS, networking, and standard utility services
Familiarity with IT infrastructure and site monitoring tools and services is preferred
Experience with continuous delivery systems (CI/CD) is preferred
Experience with IaaS or PaaS cloud technologies and providers (Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, OpenStack, and CloudForms)
Some light development experience, e.g. doing product integrations
Experience with one or more modern configuration management solutions (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is preferred
Experience working with large data platforms is preferred
RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) is a plus
