We are looking to expand our University Recruiting team and hire multiple recruiters to grow and advance our University partnerships.

These positions will play a key role in delivering on Illumina’s objective of sourcing, nurturing and hiring diverse qualified talent as they build relationships with target schools and student organizations across the country. We believe students are our future innovators, leaders, and game changers.

  

Responsibilities:


  • Implement and execute robust and innovative, on-campus recruiting strategies to attract and hire top talent and meet hiring goals. Maintain an on-campus and virtual presence through organized information sessions, tech talks, student organization meetings, etc. throughout the yearly recruitment cycle.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships at target universities with career centers, key faculty, professors, administration, and student organizations as well as student diversity organizations.

  • Support and engage in regional/national diversity partnerships and activities through creative methodologies that result in brand awareness, talent generation and sustainable talent pipelines.

  • Identify, organize and attend local and national diversity and university recruiting events. 

  • Track and monitor analytics throughout the complete recruiting cycles to analyze and leverage data for the identification of trends and the adjustment of strategies/activities to improve results. 

  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to capture all recruiting and hiring activity while maintaining appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance with local, and government legal requirements (i.e. OFCCP)

  • Act as a subject matter expert with market leaders, hiring managers and internal partners concerning methods to source and recruit diverse and early career candidates. 

  • Leverage social platforms and online recruiting resources to support the creation of talent pipelines.  

 Requirements:


  • Typically requires 2-5 years of experience building meaningful relationships with schools and universities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, psychology, or a related field preferred.

  • Creative researcher who can analyze, assess and make recommendations on activities and events that will result in the appropriate return on our collective investment.

  • Passion for networking, relationship building, and negotiating with key stakeholders.

  • Experience in all aspects of recruiting including sourcing, networking, screening, assessing, managing relationships with hiring teams and business partners, offer negotiation

  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook required

  • Proficient in sourcing techniques including LinkedIn, Google, ATS mining, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage competing demands, while being extremely adaptable and flexible to changing business requirements.

  • Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in diversity, specifically the implementation and execution of strategies to source and recruit from diverse communities

  • Experience with Workday Recruiting preferred
