Job Description

Job Summary:

As Cooled Detector Fab Manager, you will manage a group of technicians and one subordinate manager to produce, sustain and assist in yield improvement and development for our Cooled Infrared Detector fabrication. This area spans detector wafer fabrication (frontside), and focal plane array fabrication (backside). In this position you report to the Director of Cooled Operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Oversee a large team of operators and one night shift manager

  • Track and achieve production goals

  • Report, reach and further key operational metrics

  • Proactive team development

  • Own and maintain capacity and cycle time models

  • Lead continuous improvement including Lean and 5S

  • Coordinate with supply chain to anticipate and reliably meet production demands

  • Support Engineering on process and yield improvement initiatives

  • Facilitate Design Engineering on next generation development


Job Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; a technical, management or operations field is preferred

  • 5-10 years cleanroom fabrication experience is desired

  • 5 years applicable supervisory or management experience leading large teams

  • A demonstrated understanding of cleanroom fabrication, direct experience a plus

  • Practical experience in Lean and 5S methods
