Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary




Eskenazi Health is seeking an experiencedVice President, Supply Chain Management. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee supply planning, logistics and distribution, procurement, and vendor management. This position will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to members of the team, functional leadership, and executive leadership to ensure that financial and operational goals, processes, and efficiencies are met.




Essential Functions and Responsibilities




The Vice President, Supply Chain Management:


  • Leads strategy for Supply Chain including purchasing, value analysis, contracting, supplier diversity and inventory management

  • Leads monitoring of vendor performance, including delivering against product and service level agreements, cost objectives to gain operational efficiencies

  • Develops and achieves performance metrics to track progress for the organization against national benchmarks to ensure best practices

  • Develops, implements, and executes a disciplined system to implement best practice agreements organization-wide, focusing on total organization cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, improved coordination, and risk management

  • Supports and executes procurement and contracting strategies

  • Leads teams in supply cost reductions and utilization improvements throughout the organization

  • Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with key suppliers

  • Engages department leaders with actionable analytics and identifies key opportunities for savings

  • Proactively contributes to the Eskenazi Health mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County; models Eskenazi Health values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development and Excellence





Job Requirements




The qualified candidate will have anMBA, MHA, MSN, or PharmD strongly preferred.10 years of experience in Supply Chain leadership roles may be accepted in lieu of Master's degree. Experience in healthcare environment is highly desirable. In addition, certification or other credentialing via the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Institute of Supply Management, and/or other relevant organization preferred
