Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary



Eskenazi Health is seeking Medical Assistantsto provide patient care which takes into account patient response to care provided, patient needs, problems, capabilities, limitations, and progress toward goal, whowho maintain a safe patient/clinic environment, and who demonstrate good communication skills with appropriate medical terminology. A strong Medical assistant will integrates cultural/population specific diversity needs into patient care as well as integrating physiological, psychological and cultural needs, and will alter activities/behaviors to ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served. We have 4Federally Qualified Health Centers on the west side of Indianapolis, including:



West 38th Street



Located at 5515 W. 38th St., the West 38th Street location provides Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Primary Care and Urgent Care services. Other service offerings include Dental, Dietitian Services, Healthy Me, Mental Health, OB/GYN, and Radiology.



Pecar



Located at 6940 Michigan Rd., the Pecar location provides Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Primary Care services. Other services offered are Dietitian Services, Diabetes Education, Health Me, Mental Health, OB/GYN, Optometry/Optical, and Podiatry.



Blackburn



Located at 2700 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St., Blackburn offers Pediatric and Adult Primary Care services. Other service offerings include Dietitian Services, Diabetes Education, Healthy Me, Mental Health, OB/GYN, and Podiatry.



Westside



Located at 2732 W. Michigan St., the Westside location provides Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Primary Care services. In addition, Westside offers Dietitian Services, Healthy Me, Mental Health, OB/GYN, and Podiatry services.

Job Requirements

• Graduation from an education program for the medical assistant


• CPR certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification is preferred)


• Current TB Education certification is preferred
