The Residential Specialist is responsible for creating Demand for Wilsonart HPL, Solid Surfacing, Quartz, Thinscape, Wetwall, Backsplash and TFL within the residential industry which includes K&B Dealers, Home Builders, Multi Family Developers, Home Centers, and Remodelers. Selling activities include extensive product education explaining not only features, benefits and applications for Wilsonart products, but how our products can satisfy needs of residential builders and remodelers. The ability to build and maintain relationships within the residential community is critical. Ensure that Wilsonart merchandising devices are appropriately placed and updated on a timely basis in residential showrooms.

Territory will include Ohio, Pennsylvania and Western New York. Candidate ideally should reside within the Pittsburgh or Cleveland area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop relationships with residential designers and specifiers, home builders, fabricators, home center show rooms.

  • Create demand for Wilsonart Products in the territory so that the regional team meets annual sales goals.

  • Provide design, product and application information pertinent to residential accounts.

  • Collaborate with sales representatives, regional/metro managers and distribution personnel to maximize results.

  • Link kitchen dealers, residential builders, home centers to industry fabricators, with a view to ensuring proprietary specifications, and growing local sales revenue.

  • Provide feedback to Wilsonart marketing & design regarding the surfacing needs of the residential community.

  • Active participation in industry related associations (like NKBA) to strengthen client relationships.

  • Hands on placement & updating of Wilsonart residential merchandising to accounts in the territory.

  • Embrace CRM tool and use it effectively to create demand for Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces.

  • Utilize social media to promote brand awareness/products as well as connect with the residential design, builder and fabrication community.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong presentation skills both in-person and utilizing digital platforms. Must be comfortable presenting to customers and large groups.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree Required

Bachelors degree in Marketing/Sales/Business Administration or a closely related field. One additional year of experience may substitute for one year of required education with a maximum substitution of four years.

EXPERIENCE: One year field selling experience preferably in the residential design community or, one year working as a K&B sales rep or Show Room Specialist.

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight of 20 50 lbs.

Requires traveling to customer locations for Sales Calls with rare exposure to dust and fumes.
