Reporting to the Vice President, Global Channel, the position will have direct responsibility for developing relationships and collaborative routes to market with IT and ET vendors.
The Global Alliances & Partnerships Director must bring deep channel experience and networks. The individual must also have the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with our partners and across the organisation at all levels.
Drive global relationships with selected key strategic IT & ET vendors such as HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, IBM, Oracle, Honeywell, Rockwell, etc.
Improve Vertiv's positioning and recognition in the market by mapping and developing joint value propositions with our allies and partners.
Drive strong collaboration across Regions to develop collaborative routes to market that deliver added value for the channel partners and end users,
Understand and be knowledgeable of the alliances and partners propositions, technologies, their markets and business challenges to find value added opportunities for Vertiv
Be a thought leader in the organisation, challenging the status quo, and building a deep understanding through broad curiosity about the customer, industry, market, competitor & Vertiv
Develop and execute business plans to identify and reach target opportunities
Assist in the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements.
Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and sales channel issues and serving as an internal advocate.
Help set and drive product strategy and new business opportunities with key partners and alliances.
Define partnership requirements, produce qualitative and quantitative analysis of program performance, aggregate feedback, and explore new strategic opportunities.
Build the strategy of global channel alliances in the mid and long term.
Communicate with internal stakeholders in order to assess the opportunities or/and risks.
Act as the front-line communication person with the alliance partners.
Create and own the communication packages for the new alliance partners.
Successfully project manage the integration of global partnerships
Organize and/or partiucipate in partnership related events and drive initiatives to improve relationships with partners
12-15 years of IT Channel experience with a multi-national industrial organization.
5-7 years of Business Development experience in a global or international role, working with technology alliances and partners
Demonstrated experience in functional global roles with on the ground involvement in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Americas regions
Presenting to audiences of C-level external stakeholders
Demonstrable results working collaboratively with cross-functional, matrix global teams
Travel will be required, based on location
