The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer for the Filtrete™ Value Stream, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Commissioning, qualifying and supporting the assets for the Filtrete™ Value Stream


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale up and qualify products


• Leading Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects and driving continuous improvement in a Lean Manufacturing environment


• Providing daily support and on-call support for production operations


• Determining and implementing capital improvement projects

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Five (5) combined years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial and/or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution


• Demonstrated experience participating on cross functional teams


• Experience using statistics to analyze and improve process equipment


• Experience leading converting and automation technology and processes


• Experience leading converting capital equipment installation and scale-up projects

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
