YOUR ROLE


  • Ensure the facility is fully operational on a daily basis
  • Develop and manage capital projects three-to-five-year plan of over $1 million
  • Ensure annual facility operating budget is responsibly managed
  • Oversight and responsible for onsite facilities and equipment maintenance including both Henkel and contract employees from multiple disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with Henkel internal policies and standards, local, state, federal codes and regulations
  • Manage shipping and receiving of hazardous materials complying with all DOT standards
  • Ensure environmental standards, wastewater discharge permit parameters and all large quantity generator compliance are adhered to
  • Hold weekly meetings with site leadership to address ongoing site issues
  • Assist with other capital projects as needed to support our Adhesive's business unit needs
  • Providing support to other Henkel Midwest locations with facilities management initiatives

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field required
  • Licensed professional engineer is a plus
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the field of Engineering preferred
  • 5 to 7 years' experience managing a corporate facility
  • Past experience in managing a contracted work force
  • An understanding of chemistry laboratory operations is a plus
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Self-starter able to work unsupervised
  • Demonstrated project management and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CAD is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
