Summary


The Learning & Development Manager will design, implement and facilitate learning programs that improve member experience, business performance and provide development to our team members.



Essential Functions




  • Manage a team of 6 Facilitators and Operations Leads

  • Work with leadership, training team, and outside consultants to develop training strategies and programs to align with our corporate goals

  • Accountable for setting success measures and executing training results to support strategies and operational performance goals

  • Make recommendations for vendor content selection in the areas of general training content, sales, service and other professional training

  • Responsible for vendor management and performance reviews in concert with strategic sourcing to ensure optimum service and pricing.

  • Develop and/or contribute to the development of the training budget, operational procedures and the forecasting of staffing needs

  • Manage a training budget

  • Design and deliver leadership, compliance, soft/technical skill, product and professional training as needed



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities



  • Proven Leadership ability managing small to medium size teams

  • Exceptional training, facilitation, and instructional design abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to foster mentoring relationships

  • Sound judgment and decision making, critical thinking

  • Proficiency in training analytics and reporting for business results

  • Demonstrated ability to implement training best practices

  • Demonstrates energy, flexibility, creativity, and being a team player



Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, organizational development, or a closely related field

  • Minimum of five (5) years of high-level organizational training and development experience, including needs identification and training development, implementation and evaluation.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing a training staff

  • Formal Facilitation, Design, Training Management, Performance Consulting experience preferred

  • Training Certification (i.e., CPLP, CPT, HPI, etc.) preferred



Work Environment / Physical Requirements


Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
