Position Summary



As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with a high level independence, developing plans and related processes with department leader in alignment with broader business objectives.



Specific Job Summary



The Traffic Manager acts as primary point of contact for the Brand Managers for Global Creative and Delivery. This role is the central intake point for creative needs within a cross section of functions across the organization. Having responsibility for a selection of creative initiatives, the Traffic Manager manages a set of resources, priorities and schedules to meet the business needs. The traffic Manager is responsibly to coordinate all production activities to ensure on time delivery of projects across channels, business functions, both VO and Interval.

  • Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for business processes and/or projects. Often manages small projects, business processes or parts of larger ones.

  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on more complex/non-routine business requests with limited to moderate risk.

  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.

  • Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

    • identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of business processes.

    • providing training and technical guidance to less senior staff, where appropriate, and serving as point-of-contact for problem resolution.

    • participating in setting department operating plans.

    • recognizing and celebrating team successes.

    • achieving results against budget within scope of responsibility.



  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

  • Performs other duties as appropriate.


Specific Expected Contributions



  • Opens projects in workflow system and makes connections across projects

  • Assigns tier and priority to individual projects based on business knowledge

  • Facilitates project kick off meetings to understand priority and schedule expectations

  • Creates and manages project schedules based on business priorities

  • Assigns resources to each project and ensures workflow is managed

  • Surfaces opportunities and suggests solutions to Director, Traffic

  • Identifies gaps in resources and provides solutions

  • Reallocates work as necessary based on team or individual priorities

  • Facilitates daily stand-up meetings and modifies projects as necessary

  • Creates and distributes project reports

  • Documents status and project details in project management system

  • Proactively identifies project risks in advance and elevates to leadership as appropriate

  • Orchestrates within the team to ensure successful completion on time and within budget

  • Proactively communicates with the team and individuals to keep projects on track

  • Communicates status reports regularly with Brand Managers

  • Reprioritizes work and updates schedules as the business requires

  • Works across regions and time zones

  • Understands and applies Exchange and Third-Party Management business operations

  • Demonstrates thoughtful solutions in consideration of broader company goals

  • Uses client satisfaction to make process improvements

  • Maintains service level standards

  • Supports new hire training

  • Proposes process improvements

  • Holds team accountable to following documented processes

  • Archives final project files

  • Completes online print production spec forms

  • Assists in on-boarding new associates to train on process and tools



  • Report on program/production budgets

  • Ensure project details are documented in project management platform

  • Implement traffic processes and reporting functions for optimal workflow

  • Demonstrates and conducts efficient and effective kick off and daily stand-up meetings

  • Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with brand and business leaders

  • Accurately communicates status and details to as necessary to internal business partners

  • Deliver accurate, successful and on brand programs on schedule

  • Fosters positive and productive team environment

  • Accurately evaluates employee performance to meet deadlines




Candidate Profile



Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:


Generally, a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate and/or organizational management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.



Specific Candidate Profile



  • Minimum 5 years of formal traffic experience in an agency setting

  • Experience in project management tools and principles

  • Experience managing others

  • Extensive understanding of the creative and production processes across channels

  • Relevant 4-year degree from an accredited college or university

  • Ability to hold team members accountable and responsible to deliver on stated objectives

  • The ability to influence and collaborate toward a common goal

  • Known as a great partner and problem solver

  • Can manage high volume of work with strong organizational skills

  • Strong follow up and skills with proven track record to deliver on expectations

  • Detail-oriented

  • Process-oriented; able to define and refine processes
