Job Description:

The Homestead Resort & Golf Club is going through an exciting re-branding and renovation, and we're looking for an Event Manager to grow with us into a new Boutique Luxury Resort destination. This is a fast paced environment and during this unprecedented time, we've successfully stayed open, and we strive to remain safe and responsible for our staff and guests. You will act as the liaison between the sales department and the guest and ensure the guests event is properly detailed and all involved departments are fully informed of the event.

What You Will Do


  • Obtain all customer information from sales team related to event

  • Plan/detail event with customer from start to finish according to guest requests in a fiscally responsible manner.

  • Receive event requirements through detailed communications with sales managers.

  • Assist with continual up-selling of client and event throughout the working relationship

  • Build out logistical details utilizing the appropriate event software for onsite team and clients

  • Suggestively upsell menu items to enhance the events success

  • Coordinate hiring or planning of professional services (DJ, florist, a/v, rental company)

  • Regularly attend and lead BEO meetings

  • Ensure event is setup according to BEO

  • Ensure customer satisfaction during event by checking in with main contact.

  • Follow up with customer after each event, ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Coordinate billing with banquet manager or restaurant management staff.

  • Respond promptly to any guest request

  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude and mannerism

  • Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success

  • Respect all your co-workers and managers

  • Have fun at work; come to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a fun and memorable experience for our guests

  • Work areas must be cleaned, and all side duties must be completed before leaving

  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING


  • One year or more event management work history preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Must be 21 years or older

  • Some level of management skills desired

  • Refined verbal and written communication

  • Be able to keep up with a fast paced environment

  • Stand and/or walk entire shift

  • Must be available nights and weekends

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis, including stairs. Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 50lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other associates. Vision is continuous: most common visual functions being near vision and depth perception.




Salary: $52,500.00
