Job DescriptionBrief Description
Responsible for overseeing and owning the daily operations in the mold/de-mold area while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery and cost effectiveness are achieved at all times. This position is also responsible for supervising and directing all Molding Operators to ensure a consistent and accurate work flow. Independently coordinates with other manufacturing leads and the Production Supervisor as necessary to achieve daily objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Lead by example every day in your attitude, work ethic and adherence to all company guidelines and procedures, challenge your team to do the same.
Repair and wax molds for surface imperfections.
Accurately maintain Visual Daily Management Boards.
Coordinate production activities with other department Leads.
Maintain inventory accuracy.
Report daily production in SAP.
Daily use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Move and position mold sections using lift tables.
Brush wax onto mold sections to facilitate removal of elements from molds.
Lift upper mold sections from lower sections and remove elements.
Visually inspect elements to ensure quality.
Hang elements on appropriate racks for baking process.
Distribute elements to appropriate bins in saw department.
Accurately cast molds.
Monitor temperature of molds.
Monitor pressure gauges of casting machines.
Maintain proper levels of chemicals for daily activities.
Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards.
Operate ovens and record temperatures frequently.
Ensure employee conformance to established policies and procedures to support the creation of a high quality products.
Provide training and guidance for new associates.
Provide input to the Production Supervisor on how to improve efficiency and productivity on a continuous basis and recommend both short and long term solutions.
Maintain equipment, maintenance records and preventative maintenance programs.
Ability to follow and implement written work instructions.

Leadership Competencies
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of continuous molding experience.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read precision measuring instruments and learn computer spreadsheets.
Ability to read and interpret production schedules and issue computer generated reports.
Must be detail oriented and possess good communication skills as well as time management skills.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Basic computer skills are required - Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Hours worked
2nd shift 3p-11p. Some overtime may be required in order to meet production demands.
