The Buyer/Planner is responsible for all overhaul and repair activities. Additionally, the Buyer/Planner is responsible for quoting and coordinating all OSP activity.
Principal Activities
Run dynamic ordering processing daily converting sales demand into purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Release repair shop orders with required drawings and specifications.
File and or store all Standard Repair Process documentation.
Process all OSP orders.
Maintain shop orders as required.
Ensure product availability to the production lines by tracking and expediting shop orders.
Assist Stock keeper with cycle count entries
Actively participate and report in daily Gemba and other production control meetings.
Participate in the implementation and utilization of lean principles in the workplace.
Support Company policy, procedures, and safety policy.
Must understand constraint based management in a "Manufactured or Engineered to Order" environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Solid understanding of ERP systems (preferably IFS & SAP).
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) applications.
Understanding work in progress to schedule the flow of supply to support production.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills (internal / external)
Problem solver that works collaboratively within the organization, efficiently and effectively resolves issues related to supply chain flow and meeting demand requirements
Ability to identify and prioritize multiple issues into clear and simple action plans.
Positive thinker / self-starter and Team Player.
Must be US citizen to meet US Defense requirements.
Education & Experience
Associates degree in Supply Chain, Business or Accounting; Bachelor Degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Planning and materials management in a manufacturing environment.
