Shore United Bank is looking for an experienced Relationship Manager to join our team. The Relationship Manager is responsible for meeting the commercial services needs of business customers by developing relationships with current and prospective customers. The Relationship Manager is also responsible for actively searching for new business opportunities within the assigned market area. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
Essential Functions:
Make business development calls to prospective new customers and to current customers
Travel within the local market area to meet with current and prospective customers
Underwrite loan requests and present them to the Senior Lending Officer
Solicit new business from current and prospective customers
Maintain an ongoing business relationship with current customers
Prepare and maintain accurate records of all customer service calls made and meetings held with present and prospective customers
Monitor individual sales performance on a regular basis and discuss performance with appropriate supervisor on a frequent basis
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank commercial products
Provide direct service to commercial customers of the bank
Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments as necessary

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday. Partial remote work may be considered dependent upon prior experience in the field.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent in banking experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience in banking or a commercial lending role preferred
Prior experience in a business development capacity
Valid Driver's License
Ideal Candidates will have:
Strong knowledge of bank commercial products and services
Strong understanding of bank policies and procedures
Strong understanding of lending and bank operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated sales or business development experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities daily
Ability to be productive under little supervision
Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Ability to build strong relationships with current and prospective customers
Travel: This position will be required to travel in the Sussex County, DE market to develop business. This position also requires local area travel to attend ongoing training, community events, staff meetings and to meet with current and prospective customers as needed.
