Job Description:
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Press Operator will set up and run all press equipment in a manner that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards. The ideal candidate will posses strong mechanical skills and must be able to perform machine repairs / maintenance as necessary.

Duties include:

• Set-up / adjust press for job runs to meet specifications


• Perform document review to ensure job requirements are known and understood.


• Monitor product quality during production runs.


• Check product quality against drawing and established quality standards and make corrections as necessary.


• Perform press repairs, maintenance, upkeep and cleaning.


• Maintain acceptable productivity standards while minimizing raw material waste.

Job Qualifications:

• 
  Strong mechanical abilities and aptitude are preferred.


• Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills.


• Experience working as part of team in a fast paced environment.


• Shop math skills including fractions, percentages and precise measurement.


• Ability to understand and apply detailed instructions, completing detail work precisely.


• Demonstrate ability to meet or exceed performance and quality standards


• Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities and change.


• Good record of job performance, attendance and punctuality.


• Safety oriented.


• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.


• Ability to meet physical demands of job including the ability to stand for extended periods of time; use of hands / dexterity; stoop, kneel, lift, carry, push and pull. Close and distant vision, accurate color perception, and peripheral vision are critical.

Successful candidates will posses skills in their ability to communicate, both oral and written, problem solving techniques, and demonstrate a high degree of self initiative.
